Salary Transfer Account | Terms & Conditions

  1. The Salary Transfer Promotion is offered for Kuwaiti who work in the public or private (listed company with ABK) sector and open an ABK’s Salary Transfer Account – or Prestige or Al Raed salary transfer account, hereon referred as ‘ABK Salary Transfer Account’.
  2. When a new Kuwaiti customer transfers their salary to ABK’s Salary Transfer Account, they are entitled to the below benefits in accordance with the terms and conditions determined by the Bank:
    • KD 1,000 ‘Cash Gift’ for salaries above KD 1,000
    • KD 500 ‘Cash Gift’ for salaries above KD 400 - KD 999
    • Free Visa Signature credit card for 2 years
  3. The promotion is only valid for “new” customers. A “new” customer is defined as the following: A customer who opens a new ABK Salary Transfer Account and whose first salary is transferred to ABK and existing customer with no salary transfer for one year and started transferring their salaries both during the promotional period and related ABK terms & conditions.
  4. To be eligible for the Salary Transfer Promotion, Kuwaiti customers will need a monthly basic salary of KD 400 and above to be transferred to the Bank.
  5. For the purposes of this campaign, “Salary” means the monthly amount transferred to the customer’s account by the employer or the relevant government entity. For private sector employees, this includes the salary transferred by the employer plus any applicable labour support.
  6. Customer’s salary must be transferred to ABK for a period of not less than 24 months to take advantage of the mentioned benefits. Otherwise, the customer is deemed to be in breach of the terms and conditions of this offer and is obliged to refund the ‘Cash Gift’ received as a benefit.
  7. The ‘Cash Gift’ will only be credited 10 days after the first salary is credited into the Salary account. Exception: customers working in the Governmental Sector may receive the cash gift before the first salary is credited.
  8. The customer undertakes to transfer his/ her salary to their salary account and continues to maintain their salary as to be eligible for the free card for 2 years, and if his/her salary is transferred to another bank, he /she will refund the annual card fees and allow the bank to deduct these fees from their account in ABK.
  9. New customer must complete/submit all required documents within four months from the date of salary transfer and if he/she does not complete the required documents within the specified period, the customer forfeits the right to claim the benefits of the salary campaign without the Bank being held responsible.
  10. All ABK (and affiliated) employees are not eligible for the promotion.
  11. The Bank has the right to amend the terms and conditions governing salary transfer promotion at any time. The Bank will notify customers of the amendment at its branches or through any other appropriate means, 30 days prior to implementation. Such amendment shall be considered binding on the cardholder/customer immediately upon the lapse.
  12. All other related ABK Terms and Conditions apply to this promotion.
  13. This promotional campaign is valid until 31 December 2026.
  14. Customer acknowledges and accepts the above terms and conditions and confirms receiving receipt of a copy.
  15. Retirees are not eligible for the salary transfer promotion.
